The HPTA Junior Development Pathway provides a clear progression for players at every stage—from learning their first rally to competing at the highest levels of junior tennis. Each program develops age-appropriate technical skills, athletic ability, competitive understanding and personal character. As players grow, they advance based on demonstrated skills, commitment and readiness—not age alone—ensuring that every child is challenged, supported and placed in the environment where they can thrive.
HPTA JUNIOR DEVELOPMENT PATHWAY
Answer a few questions about your child’s experience, skills and goals. We’ll suggest the most appropriate starting point in the HPTA pathway.
This questionnaire provides a preliminary recommendation. Final placement may require review or approval by an HPTA coach.

YES! Every player needs a rating to register for programming. For most junior programs you can get a rating by filling our the Player Questionnaire . Once you submit your answers we will be in touch with you to confirm your rating or other next steps.
Players with valid ratings can register for programs via their HPTA Account.
Session 1: September 7, 2026 – November 15, 2026
Session 2: November 16, 2026 – January 24, 2027
Session 3: January 25, 2027 – April 4, 2027
Session 4: April 5, 2027 – June 13, 2027
